Best armor in morrowind. The beautiful ebony armor is crafted with black materials and decorated with gold. Each piece of this armor is very expensive, albeit a tad cheaper than Daedric, as is tradition in Elder Scroll games. The best thing about these sets is that they can be found in various parts across the game, such as the Vivec City vaults. Daedric Armor is the best yes BUT It's heavy as hell. Giving you no room to loot. Nordic Mail armor found in Skaal Village in Solstheim Is better than Ebony and a lot lighter. So it's like the 2nd best unenchanted armor. So you could still kick some butt and loot. And it looks pretty bad ass. While Heavy Armor is undoubtedly the best protection you can get - a full suit of Daedric at maxed skill giving you a whopping 266 Armor Rating, almost double that of Medium (145), and about 100 points more than Light (168), it does suffer from a few drawbacks. First of all, as the name implies, it is heavy. That full Daedric suit will load you. However, heavy armor does have a place, weirdly enough. The 200 additional armor (without shield) or 250 armor (with shield) plus all of the enchants does add up. Mainly the enchants. Nearly every piece in the best heavy armor set is enchanted, and those enchants add up quickly.
