Nexus Mod Manager Error Unable To Finish Download
First, uninstall NMM. It'll make the process a bit easier.Second, reinstall NMM. During the installation program, you will have the option of changing the directory path. You'll know it when the program asks you if 'C:Program Files (x86)' is the path you want NMM to install in. It doesn't necessarily have to be this path but I think you get the idea.Don't install it in this path.
In other words, I recommend NOT using this mod for anything but reference. Should you want to apply the changes I outline below to future Update.esms. CK Loading Errors Fix - v1.0 - another mod-fix by SLuckyD. This is intended for use by MODDERS only. All it does is prevent the loading errors, nothing more.
Instead, click on 'browse' or 'change' (I don't remember what the text is specifically, but it'll be obvious). Your hard drives will show up in a list. Select the hard drive where Skyrim is installed (i.e.
The hard drive that has the steam folder).Install NMM on that hard drive so the directory path looks like this: 'C:Nexus Mod Manager'. In other words, install it in the C drive itself. The C drive itself is the root folder. You'll know you did it right when you see 'C:Nexus Mod Manager' and 'C:Program Files (x86)' on the same page after you have installed everything.Go through the rest of the program and finish installing. Launch NMM and select Skyrim and whatever other games you have that are on the list.Hopefully this fixes your problem. If not, then I'm not sure what is going on.
There might be another file needed to run NMM that I'm not aware of. This might be a cop out, but you could always try Mod Organizer. Some people prefer it, anyway.Oh, and sorry for the extremely late reply.

School and such. Ive already managed to work it, but thanks very much for your time you took to write this:). Originally posted by:If anyone is still having this issue like I was. For me it turned out that I was trying to download 'Skyrim' mods instead of 'Skyrim Special Edition' mods. Smart, I know, but I thought it might help someone. I'm very new to mods, and this was my issue.
Thank you.:) I have tried every conceivable option to try and fix this issue and it still says that Nexus isn't set up to work with Skyrim Special Edition! I've tried changing all download and save options to space out 'Special Edition' and nothing has worked.
Also, I sometimes get an error that closes down the app and when I open up the trace log it says something around the lines of-this game wasn't found in the typical save location-but then it finds it. So, I don't know if that has something to do with it, but I don't want to try and move the game file cuz i'm afraid I'll screw the entire game up. You have Skyrim Special Edition correct? What I was referring to is there are 'Skyrim' mods and 'Skyrim Special Edition' mods on Nexus.
Sometimes SE mods even link to regular skyrim mods as if they could be used together (which they can't). This error shows up if you use Skyrim mods from Nexus but have Skyrim SE. There may be another reason if this isn't your issue.
